I am such a huge fan of keeping tropical fish. I love learning more and more about them, how the filtration systems work on my tank and creating a nice habitat. I have had a range of fish that i've kept for a long time now and have found that some of the more sensitive fish species are not suitable for the harshness of a tropical fish tank. Unless you're an expert fish keeper these following fish I have found are super great for beginners that are just wanting to start out. They need relatively little looking after, but will still need attention on a regular basis. There is not such thing as easy tropical fish keeping. Always make sure that if you can't handle the fish don't release them into the wild as that causes invasive species and can damage wildlife. My favourite tropical fish to keep in my aquarium are: Guppies These fish breed like made and don't get diseases easily which make them great for beginner fish keepers. If you buy 10 guppies by the end of the year you'll probaly have close to 100 fish. You can make some money selling them though and watching the colors merge on their bodies. The male fish have super long attractive tails. Clown Loaches These tropical fish are generally pretty hardy and are peace loving fish that get on with most other inhabitants in a tank. Much more sensitive than live breeder fish, just make sure you keep them with lots of plants and hiding places for them. Always keep them in pairs as these fish can get lonely. There is nothing more sad than a lonely fish now. I love the clown loaches as they are so peace loving. Thought they can be known to get fussy over food and fend off smaller fish. But hardly something to worry about because that is the nature of fish tanks, just ensure all the fish get to eat. Have any suggestions for fish you love? Get in touch with us.
